Hello Olivier,

Thank you for your answer. This is exactly what I did using a png with 
transparency (alpha channel). It is ok for the transparent background 
but the circle appears opaque and hides the map details behind even if 
the color is transparent as you can see on this screenshot:

Since the circles can be large, I need them to look transparent. Is 
there something I can do ?
