Hi Rainer

thanks for updating the wiki.

To have a repository with several maps would be a nice. But it needs
editorial maintenance. The maps have to be tested on a regular base. If
URLs change the files have to be fixed. New maps have to be tested and
checked for an appropriate copyright, etc. Martin did that for the QLGT
maps in the past. And if I get an error report, I forward it to him. In
most cases the server is down and no one cares to find an alternative.
By that the QLGT online map list is quite outdated.

If anyone else is willing to spend time on that topic I would suggest to
open a new BitBucket repository. Everyone with a BitBucket login can do.
This repository can be used to collect all those map files and to
maintain the versions if there is a change. And in the QMS Wiki you can
add a link to reference the repository. By that the files are in the
responsibility of the maintainer. As long as he/she is willing to
maintain them it's fine. And if the commitment ceases, the repository
can be closed and the link is removed. Or a new maintainer is taking
over the repository.
