This is what Mr Kompf uses:
https://www.mapbox.com/tilemill/

and the description says

"... At TileMill's core is Mapnik, a powerful, full-featured library
that includes support for RGBA color, True Type fonts, rasters,
patterns, and even SVG transforms. ..."

As the Internet teaches me, RGBA stands for RGB + alpha.

So far, anything looks good.

Wouldn't a vector format like SVG even be better for sparsely covered
special-feature maps? Is there a proper format already implemented in
QMS?

A quick look here
https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_Map_Service

" .... je nach Aufbau können aber auch verschiedene andere Dateiformate
wie Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) ..."

leaves any questions open.

What NetFlow Analyzer can do for you? Monitors network bandwidth and traffic
patterns at an interface-level. Reveals which users, apps, and protocols are
consuming the most bandwidth. Provides multi-vendor support for NetFlow,
J-Flow, sFlow and other flows. Make informed decisions using capacity planning
