Hi all

Here is a list with additional services for the Search Web function I have
been playing with, and some tips for the default ones.

The idea is to keep a list on the wiki, I'm on it, but for now I also want
to share it on the mailing list. ... may be not everyone reads the wiki
;-)

Enjoy it and don't doubt to contribute yours :- )

-----------------

To edit, and add services to the drop-down menu click on -Configure
Services - . then you can copy and paste the Name and its URL from this
list.
Those that are already included in QMS are marked with (*) although here
they could appear with some variant.

*Peakfinder (*)*
Name: Peakfinder
URL: https://www.peakfinder.org/?lat=%2&lng=%1&ele=%3&azi=0&zoom=5
Hints: As DEMs are not very accurate, sometimes the summit itself could
hide your view,. To avoid this you can raise the viewpoint 10m by adding
to the url &off=10

*Waymarked trails (*)*
Name: Waymarked trails
URL: https://hiking.waymarkedtrails.org/#routelist?map=13!%2!%1
Hints: Clicking on the names of the list opens additional information about
the trail and you can download the track. In the upper menu you can change
to get Cycling routes, MTB routes,...

*Wikiloc*
Name: Wikiloc (*)
URL: https://www.wikiloc.com/wikiloc/map.do?lt=%2&ln=%1&z=13
Hints: this lists all activities

Name: Wikiloc Skitours (*)
URL: https://www.wikiloc.com/wikiloc/map.do?lt=%2&ln=%1&z=13&act=40,17
Hints: This pattern filters skitour and snowshoe activities ,.you can
follow this sample to get other activities by changing the value act=40,17
,or add other filters, for example :

Name: Wikiloc MTB
URL: https://www.wikiloc.com/wikiloc/map.do?lt=%2&ln=%1&z=13&act=2
Hints:: This filters MTB activities. When usin filters you will be asked to
log in ..

*MeteoBlue (*)*

The default URLs point to the web page in English , but you can change it
easy . Eg: Replace /en/ by /es/ in the url and it would lead to the
Spanish version:

Name: MeteoBlue 7 days
URL: https://www.meteoblue.com/en/weather/forecast/week/%2N%1E

Name: MeteoBlue Meteogram (5 days)
URL: https://www.meteoblue.com/en/weather/forecast/meteogramfive/%2N%1E
Notes : one of my favorites :-)

Name: MeteoBlue Multi model
URL: https://www.meteoblue.com/en/weather/forecast/multimodel/%2N%1E

Name: MeteoBlue Map
URL:
https://www.meteoblue.com/en/weather/webmap/index/%2N%1E?level=surface&zoom=8
Hints:: once on the site you choose the type of map to display:
precipitation, wind, .. and you can see the evolution by hours

All these can be found in a drop-down menu once in the web page. So, you
can remove some of them if you need a shorter list.

*Weather: Ventusky (*)*
Name: Ventusky
URL:https://www.ventusky.com/?p=%2;%1;6&l=rain-3h
Hints: Very clear. Once in the web you can choose the type of map to
display: precipitation, wind, etc and you can see the evolution by hours.
Clicking on a point displays a weather table.

*Webcam travel (*)*
Name:Webcams
URL: https://webcams.travel/map/#lat=%2&lng=%1&z=12
Hints: if you don't see webcams near the chosen point, try zooming out with
the mouse wheel.

*Rome2Rio*
This website looks for public transport between two points, and gives you
alternative routes with information about stops, transfers, schedules, and
operators phone numbers and websites... very impresive. It usually returns
good info, but sometimes I have got some nonsense.

Name: Transport r2r
URL: https://www.rome2rio.com/es/map/Bilbao/%2,%1
Hints: You must replace Bilbao with the name of your town or city. If the
name is composed use hyphens, e.g.: Selva-di-Val-Gardena. You can also use
your home coordinates e.g.: 43.164,-1.236

*Transport Públic de Catalunya*
Name:Transport Públic GenCat
URL:https://mou-te.gencat.cat/index.html#/ca/transportProper/%1/%2
Hints: This is a local service for the Catalonia region. It looks for bus
stops near the given point. Once in the web you can consult lines,
timetables and A-B routes. If you live in Catalonia you could buid a url
similar to r2r from your home to the given point.

*GogleMaps driving routes*
Name:G-Maps Drive
URL:
https://www.google.com/maps/dir/?api=1&origin=Bilbao&destination=%2,%1&travelmode=driving
Hints:You must replace Bilbao with the name of your town or city. If the
name is composed replace spaces with +, e.g.: Selva+di+Val+Gardena. You can
also use your home coordinates e.g.: 43.164,-1.236 (...but remind that
this is Google :-P )

*GogleMaps*
Name:G-Maps
URL:https://www.google.es/maps/@%2,%1,16z?hl=en
Hints: Contributed by JOSEPV. Once in G-maps you can use StreetView
function.

*GogleEarth web*
Name:G-Earth
URL:https://earth.google.com/web/@%2,%1,1000a,0d,35y,0h,0t,0r
Hints:Contributed by JOSEPV .For now it only opens with Google Chrome
browser..(.google things :-P )
