Might be due to the dash trick patch, the whole thing;
but the patch wouldn't have applied gracefully if it was completely fixed,
would id???

At least in the file, i got the problem three times.

the first time for the exact lookup. It was already fixed here.
the second time (in #ifdef's) from the dash-trick patch
the third time for the catchall lookup. It was not fixed here.

I believe in might be incorrect in the catchall case for unpatched
qmail-ldap, too.
