this error happened to me also.
pl anybody can throw a light on it.
Sometimes it was telling dirmaker permission denied

The mails directory are in
/mail/XXXX
Permissions :
drwxrwxr-x 3 qmaill qmail 4096 May 24 00:00 mail
Any clue ?
