Hi, I also have this kind of stuff in /service directory and in /var/qmail/service
(instead of supervise) : this part (djb's daemon tools) works fine.
Have you got an example of password you use ? (I wonder if I use the right syntax...)
or an ldif file for a user, with hashed password and it cleartext equivalent ?

I have followed a doc while configuring pop3d but couldnt find it now I will
look for it
As I remember basicly
add the follwing line to /etc/inittab
SV:123456:respawn:env - PATH=/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/bin svscan
/service </dev/null >/dev/console 2>/dev/console
create the follwing sym links in /service
root@oranux:/service# ls -la
total 8
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Jun 26 11:35 .
drwxr-xr-x 21 root root 4096 Jun 25 21:20 ..
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 32 Jun 26 11:35 qmail-pop3d ->
/var/qmail/supervise/qmail-pop3d
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 31 Jun 26 09:57 qmail-send ->
/var/qmail/supervise/qmail-send
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 32 Jun 26 09:57 qmail-smtpd ->
