thanks for the response, but I have tried this in the past but it is not
what I need.

the ~control/quotawarn file is only for the smtp response that a sender
recieves.
there is no auto notification of the recipient. 


from QLDAPINSTALL
        ~control/quotawarning

        Custom text in quota warning message, e.g. for providing contact
information
        of your ISP
        Default: NULL
        Example: You can contact us at (555) 555 5555
        Note: Multiline. Needs to be present to make qmail-quotawarn work.
