Does anyone know whether its better to use the qmail-ldapcluster feature or some kind of an LVS cluster implementation. My reasoning for leaning toward the LVS implementation is that even if a couple of machines in the cluster die, all users can receive mail. Whereas my understanding for qmail-ldap clustering is that you partition the users so that for example you have one machine getting users a-m and another getting m-z. In this scenario if one of the machines dies, half your users are out of luck.. My plan for the LVS is to have a central mail repository for all users, then 3-4 clustered qmail servers which all mount the central repository? Am I missing something?
