yes.
The script runs under the user ID which will own the homedir. This user
needs write permission to maildirs/ obviously. So if you work
with virtual users (seeing your group owneship I assume you do and map them
to UID vmail and GID vmail) you can either "chown vmail maildirs" or "chmod
775 maildirs".
