Hi,
Why not make the UID equal to the email address ?
In my installation, users have to login using their email address, not just
the name before the "@". This eases managing virtual domains on a single
installation.

Hi, and thanks ofr taking the time to answer.
As I said, I read all I could find. Including lwq, and lwq/ldap.
I installed with the help of qmail the easy way, then I applied the
qmail-ldap patch to the qmail src, compiled and installed the patched
version. And, it is working with the ldap server.
The problem is that it does the searches by uid and I want it to search by
complete e-mail address.
