We use qmail-ldap and ldap in general for many user account data storage
tasks, and intend to write a nice web-based ldap-explorer type app in
perl at some point in the future.

It'd be modeled after MysqlTool (http://dajoba.com/projects/mysqltool),
and would hopefully be useful within any context where someone might use a
gtk-based 'gq' app (http://biot.com/gq/), except that it'd be web-based.

Problem is, I've been intending to get this project start for a while now,
but haven't found the (free) time or anyone who would commercially back
it. (It'd probably take about $3K US worth of developer time to get an
initial version out the door.)

At one point I started on a small perl module that would encapsulate
access to qmail-ldap's specific ldap scheme within site-specific rules
(forwarding options, checks for account duplication/namespace clashes,
etc), but it's still at version 0.0001. ;)

Perhaps there's someone out there who has a bit of perl experience who
wants to collaborate with me on the exact details of how a qmail-ldap
perl module's interface should be defined? Having a fellow admin to
bounce ideas off of might help kick my perl coding skills into gear...
