Hi! i'm having some trouble delivering mail to a program using deliveryProgramPath.
running qmail-ldap-1.03-20011001a, with OpenLDAP 2.0.14 on a debian box. for the user i test with, deliveryProgramPath is set to the program path, homeDirectory is not set, i use noHomeDir, deliveryMode is normal, qmailDotMode is both, mailMessageStore is not set, with LOGLEVEL=255 i get this: ------------< snip <------< snip <------< snip <------------ __QMAILDELIVERYPROGRAM:_/saprop/home/inbox/start.php/__QMAILMODE:_normal/__QMAILDOTMODE:_both/__LDAP_lookup_succeeded/__executing_'[EMAIL PROTECTED]|sh_-c_"cat_>_/dev/null"'_under_uid=111,_gid=111/_did_0+0+1/ ------------< snip <------< snip <------< snip <------------ the "cat_>_/dev/null" part is my problem, why does it choose to pipe the mail to dev/null ? now i change one thing and it works, i set mailMessageStore to a bogus value and then i get: ------------< snip <------< snip <------< snip <------------ /__QMAILDELIVERYPROGRAM:_/saprop/home/inbox/start.php/__QMAILMODE:_normal/__QMAILDOTMODE:_both/__LDAP_lookup_succeeded/__executing_'[EMAIL PROTECTED]/Maildir/'_under_uid=111,_gid=111/_did_0+0+1/ ------------< snip <------< snip <------< snip <------------ this delivers to my program and it seems to work. so i guess my question is: why does mailMessageStore need to have a value when i only deliver to a program ? is this a bug, if it's a feature could we add it to the docs ? thanks. -- Regards Johann Dan J.
