Hi,

Looking into clustering. I hope it can be a help for some DNS
problems I expect when moving servers.

If I understand correctly, clustering works by putting a number of
domains both in locals and (more)rcpthosts on the two clustered
servers.

Box1 is my main server at location A.
Box2 (on location B) is used as secondary mailserver for all the
domains on Box1. On Box2, locals is almost empty.

But, on Box2, there are some domains in rcpthosts that are not on
Box1, because Box2 is secondary mailserver for one of my friends with
a Box at location X (an XBox?)

All I want is that IF mail for those domains is delivered at Box2, it
will sit there until my friend's host is up again and mail is
deliverd to that host by SMTP (which all works fine at the moment).

Oh, and I have also another friend, who has a Box at location B. For
obvious reasons, I don't want Box2 (at location B) to be the
secondary mailserver for those domains, so there are some domains in
rcpthosts on Box1, that are not in locals on Box1 (and also not in
any file on Box2).

So, what happens when I enable clustering on Box1 and Box2 ?
Will the 'external' secondary domains on Box1 and those on Box2 still
function as they do now ?

Greetings,

Ace
