I cannot/do not understand how to get pop mail. I have followed the INSTALL.xxx guides and when I telnet host 110 and enter user abc pass abc I get an error message about server configuration. I don't know where to start given that I've read the instructions backward and forward plus spent many hours on the internet searching for the answer. Please help.
I seem to have qmail-ldap running smoothly meaning I can echo To: user | qmail-inject and everything works fine. I don't know whatelse needs to be setup. I created a ~control/dirmaker but I get the same results. The full message is below: $ telnet host 110 Trying 10.10.10.8... Connected to host.company.com. Escape character is '^]'. +OK <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> user quote +OK pass short -ERR error in server configuration Connection closed by foreign host. Not so super at the moment, superman.
