pop server is not running

dear all   i m running qmail on hp-ux 11.0 machine..with qmail-ldap ,qmail server and ldap on different machines.qmail-smtpd and qmail-send daemons are running successfully..but pop server does not startted.....   i m using auth_pop module in /var/qmail/bin acc to lwq site...also added pop entry in /etc/inetd.conf passed a hup signal but qmail-popup and qmail-pop3d daemons r not running...   hlp...sooon.   thanx niti
