I'm not aware of any problems, and my userbase is big enough so that is a
good indicator for a working patch, esp. given that runs since nearly a year.
However, I did not test that much. I am aware of users using Eudora. I'm not
sure wether they actually use SMTP AUTH, though.
There is one gotcha. We do not support CRAM-MD5 authentification. This would
require cleartext passwords on the server, a very bad idea IMHO.

The patch's codebase is not really in a state I like, though it isn;t
updated due to lack of time.
