I have already solved my problem. Although the documentation said that it isn't needed to restart the server to consider new changes in files in the control directory, this is not true for some files. I have discovered this problem for ldapdefaultquota, quotawarning and custombouncetext. You must restart the qmail server to use the new values.

Subject: ldapdefaultquota not working.

Hello to everybody:

I am working with qmail-ldap. It's already working but now I am trying to configure it. I would like to fix the maximum quota allowed for all my mail users. As I have read, this is achieved using the file "ldapdefaultquota". For tests purposes I have this file with the following content "20000S, 3C". That is to say that I only allow three messages stored but when I try it, all my users can receive all the messages I send.

Then I have tested the "mailquota" attribute in one of my users and it has perfectly worked. The limit used was the one specified in this attribute.

I would be very grateful it anyone could help me. At least I would like to know if anyone else has the same problem.

Thank you very much in advance,

                                              Elena
