Hi I am having problems with qmail-todo. The problem occurs when i stop qmail through the script 'qmailctl stop' ( copied this script from lwq.org) After stopping it lets say for queue management, when i restart it using ' qmailctl start', smtpd starts but qmail-todo is shown as 'qmail- todo [<defunct>]' alongwith 'qmail-clean [<defunct>]'. Not yet preprocessed mails starts increasing. This doesn't improve even if i manually kill these two processes. these processes remain there.I have to restart the machine to make it work again.
i use ucspi and daemontools , so actually 'qmailctl stop' is equal to 'svc - d /service/qmail-send' and 'svc -d /service/qmail-smtpd' Infact this problem has recently started, I used to stop qmail and restart several times before that without any problem with the same running configurations.
