Hi John, Can you please post some more lines of logs e.g. maillog. I think its password authentication error. What encryption algorithm are you using with your LDAP?? There might be some problem with Courier and Ldap encryption schemes. I also had this problem in the beginning. At that time i was not on this list. :(.. So after a few days of working( and wasting my time) on it, I changed LDAP encryption to "crypt" . Since then it is working. Basically , by default openldap encrypts with SSHA, so you might need to change it in slapd.conf file.
If anyone else can explain how can courier and openldap work together with encryption techniques, it would be great. Personally i would like to implement MD5, but when i tried , it didn't work for me. Regards, Qutub. > Hi my name is John.
