Hello

After having consulting the list archives, i come back
with a question i already asked...

The doc says about the mailReplyText attribute :
'To use multiline text in ldap it has to be base64 in ldif'

So, i guess that setting this attribute via a php script
might also work.

For me, i can't manage to get it working. The problem
is that Qmail sends the mailReplyText in its encoded form.

I have taken a tour in the qmail sources, and did not see
any base64-decoding stuff around the mailReplyText
attribute. Maybe i have missed it (i wish i have).
If this is true, then, it might be the job of the
LDAP server to decode the Base64 field. I did not see
something similar in OpenLDAP...

I tested with both OpenLDAP 1 and OpenLDAP 2.
With OpenLDAP 1, i specified in slapd.at.conf that
mailReplyText is a binary attribute. It had no effect.

My questions are :

- Is it possible to have a vacation message that contains
  accentued text ?

- Is Qmail-LDAP supporting base64 mailReplyText encoded
  attribute ?

- Which program might be responsible of decoding this stuff ?

Conf : Qmail-1.03 w/ LDAP patch 20020501a, and control patch
20020524

Thank you very much for any clue on this

Greg
