It seems like a bug, since your mail: attribute is:

mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

and first name and last name start with capitol letters. The search
filter is being built with all caps.

It now tries to deliver to @awd.at, which seems like buggy behaviour to
me. There is a problem somewhere with the case matching. IMHO,
interpretation of all search results should be case insensitive. I
believe this is also in some RFC's.

Here, it searches with all lower case and finds the user even though the
mail attribute is mixed case.

I'm not exactly sure, but I'd say something fishy is going on here wrt
case sensitivity. What happens if you send mail to
[EMAIL PROTECTED]?
