It seems like a bug, since your mail: attribute is: mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] and first name and last name start with capitol letters. The search filter is being built with all caps. > Oct 11 15:19:18 mail qmail: 1034342358.081480 delivery 13: log: > LDAP_lookup_succeeded/ > Oct 11 15:19:18 mail qmail: 1034342358.087403 new msg 6307865 > Oct 11 15:19:18 mail qmail: 1034342358.090958 info msg 6307865: bytes > 463 from <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> qp 10675 uid 506 > Oct 11 15:19:18 mail qmail: 1034342358.108440 starting delivery 14: msg > 6307865 to local @awd.at It now tries to deliver to @awd.at, which seems like buggy behaviour to me. There is a problem somewhere with the case matching. IMHO, interpretation of all search results should be case insensitive. I believe this is also in some RFC's. > I try ldaplookup: > > qldap_lookup: searching with > (&(objectclass=qmailUser)(|([EMAIL PROTECTED])(mailAlternate > [EMAIL PROTECTED]))) Here, it searches with all lower case and finds the user even though the mail attribute is mixed case. > qldap_lookup: succeeded, found: > uid: miroslaw.szymczak > mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] I'm not exactly sure, but I'd say something fishy is going on here wrt case sensitivity. What happens if you send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED]? -- Mike
