It's more like mkfs is using some bad defaults. On a box with far more accounts than the problem box (and I think busier), I see only 12% inode usage (ext3 fs). It also happened to me a long time ago on a Solaris box :-( Looks like this problem is still biting people... Regards, -- Adriano
