Uhoh. Probably your boss created a sub-mailbox. Have a look ate the Maildir and especially in sub-dirs starting with a "." (invisible ones). Perhaps a recursive grep (limit the search to files with *.*.$HOST) could help to find the file. Neither qmail nor qmail-ldap are known to loose mail (if correctly installed (no tripple bounces)) so my guess is that it is a user-fault.
