Hi all,

Since patch 20020501a (qmail-ldap-1.03-20020501a.patch) I have been
experiencing the 'Aack,_child_crashed.' error. I am currently running
qmail with the 20021101 patch and I am still experiencing this issue.

On searching the archives I found a few usefull tips but nothing has
fixed it. I did some testing with qmail-quota and I received a quota
message without any problems. This error only happens when I send a mail
to an account with "deliveryMode: reply" and I get no reply.

Now looking through the source I noticed that qmail-reply uses
/bin/datemail and mine was located in /usr/bin (my error during
packaging!). I created a link and now blank e-mails are being sent as a
reply message.

An example of the blank e-mail is as follows:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Return-Path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Received: (qmail 24275 invoked by uid 120); 27 Jan 2003 11:15:47 -0000
Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Date: 27 Jan 2003 13:15:47 +0200
Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Precedence: junk
To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
From:
X-Evolution-Source: imap:[EMAIL PROTECTED]/
Subject: No Subject
Mime-Version: 1.0
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Notice the Subject and From headers!!

I am baffled to say the least. I assume that the environment vars are
not being created (or read) properly. Using qmail-ldaplookup I can
confirm that the actual reply text exists.

Anybody got any ideas? Any tests I can do to help determine the problem?
