I have no catchall addresses set up. Qmail just tries to deliver locally whenever there is a local account, whether or not an LDAP account exists. If I have a local account "bob" on any machine in my cluster, and I send an e-mail to "bob@anydomainwehost" it gets delivered locally, no matter if there is an LDAP user setup or not.
