If you use mini-qmail then only one message with multiple "rcpt to"s is delivered via qmqp. On the other hand in a qmail-ldap cluster messages are forwarded to each recipient separately. It is almost impossible to change that behaviour because of qmails layout. Honestly nothing is impossible but the effort needed does not correlate to the invested time. IMHO it is cheaper to modify your setup. A few good 100base* cards and good switches can make clusters fly. Anyway, if you have spare time a few starting tips. a) qmail-send needs to be modified to schedule mail-deliveries (local and remote) on a per message basis and not on a per recipient basis. b) qmail-lspawn and qmail-rspawn needs to be modified to schedule the messages per recipient and while doing that bundling recipients together c) qmail-lspawn should do all ldap lookups in a row d) expect the unexpected -- :wq Claudio
