Yes, this was a bug in almost all patches befor 20030301. forwardonly was
ignored in the earlier patches. The
".qmail_has_prog_delivery_but_has_x_bit_set." error is because of this (I
know the error message is confusing and I will change that).

This is very strange.  Could you send me a back trace of the core because
there was no change in the AUTO(HOME|MAIL)DIR feature. Perhaps you need to
compile qmail-local with "-g" to add debugging symbols.
