Qmail-ldap already works great with ad. You just need to set the appropriate attribute names in qmail-ldap.h.

Are there any plans to integrate qmail-ldap with Windows 200x's Active
Directory? Active Directory is a form of LDAP.

I have noticed that the Jabber instant messaging people have just released
jabberd 2.0. This can use OpenLDAP as well as Active Directory for
authentication.

I meet Windows admins who need an affordable, stable, manageable mail
solution that can fit right into their Windows infrastructure. This would be
a good way to get Linux into these offices.

What do you guys think? How difficult would it be? Could the approach used
by jabberd 2.0 be viable here?
