Hi ppl,

I set up qmail-ldap without any bigger problems, and it is working now. I can say that I am really satisfied with this piece of code. A big “THANK YOU” to all that helped with the development.  After installing qmail-ldap I installed courierimap, but I am having difficulties to set it up right. I use SuSE9.0 and after installing courier I get courier-imap, courier-imap-ssl etc in the RunLevel Editor, so I am able to start those daemons from it. As I heard that it is better to start courierimap with tcpserver I found following page and made the steps described ( http://rootshell.be/~shekhar/qmail.html ).

When I telnet to localhost and port 143, those two ways of starting courierimap give a different response. Is this okay? I don’t think so, but does anyone have an idea?

Should I use the auth_imap from qmail-ldap as authentication module in courier or not? I tried to use it, but I wasn’t able to log in and retrieve messages.

TIA
