Hi all, I've put my qmail-ldap in a production
environment but it seem it's consuming all the RAM.

The server have 256 MB of RAM and run on a Celeron at
1.7 GHz.

The software:

openldap (383 users) + qmail-ldap + qmail-scanner +
clamav + spamassassin. RedHat Enterprise 3 AS.

First, get rid of the celeron!
Second, are you serving pop boxes as well off of this machine or just scanning?
Third, with the price of memory so cheap (~$89 per 512meg stick at micron) go with at least a gig of RAM, your running a lot of process's for one box.
Forth, what type of hard drives do you have in this (IDE or SCSI), are they in any RAID config and is the mail queue on its own disk?
Fifth, Have you updated your OS? I have noticed a decrease in memory usage with the latest ES kernel from Redhat but I don't know why yet;-)

Also, there is a ton of great hardware specs running around on the qmail list that go much more in-depth then the above, I would start there.
