Our way of doing it is the following: do not delete mail accounts from www interface. Only mark them as deleted (there is an attribute in the schema for that). Every hour or several minutes a cron script runs and does a search in ldap directory for accounts marked as deleted. if any accounts are found, the maildir is deleted and the ldap entry is also deleted.
