Dear Gennady, So the question now is who to create the ldap db and get the domains structure?? Is by follow the steps in
section 4 (4.
short Intro to LDAP ) in the Life With qmail-ldap document?? Also when I try to stop or start the slapd ; I get an error : [EMAIL PROTECTED] samir]# /usr/sbin/slapd
start /etc/openldap/schema/qmail.schema: line 259:
AttributeType not found: "homeDirectory" What may be the cause of this error ??? Thanks in Advance and Best Regards. Samir Noshy From: Gennady G.
Marchenko [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Yes, first you must create LDAP db, m.b
without user, but must have domains structure. Later you can use additional utilities or
ldapadd command for add new user/domain if you want. You can use startup script from net-qmail,
but you need some change in it. (other auth modules as sample). Typical start qmail over tcpserver with
some parameters. Itâs both for qmail-ldap and net-qmail. Gennady. From: Samir Noshy
[mailto: Dear Gennady, Thanks for your support; Do you mean that first I must create the
LDAP users DB. (I.e. add each mail user/domain to the ldap server) ??? I can also use ldif files and ldapadd
command, right ???? Another question: can I use the startup
scripts â to start qmail-ldap and their all components â as stated in the
document ( lwq.pdf ) for the net-qmail â which is without ldap - ??? Thanks and Best Regards, Samir Noshy. From: Gennady G.
Marchenko [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] I do 7 steep by qldapadmin, then install
alias, then install maildir (or not if you active automaildirmake), copy boot,
start qmail. From: Samir Noshy
[mailto: Dear All, The next step after "make setup
check" for the qmail-ldap installation â as ststed in the following
document - is : http://www.nrg4u.com/qmail/QLDAPINSTALL 7. Create the LDAP user database and start the LDAP server See qmail.schema for definition of all fields for OpenLDAP 2.x
