Just thought I'd share my success story with the list.
I've successfully gotten my qmail configuration going with the following:
1) qmail-ldap and SMTP AUTH 2) Courier IMAP (from supervise) with auth_imap drop-in replacement 3) qmail-pop3d with auth_pop 4) stunnel wrapper for qmail-pop3d, qmail-smtpd and Courier IMAP to provide SSL-enabled versions of these services 5) Squirrel Mail (web mail client) 6) simscan + clamd for antivirus 7) simscan + spamd (Spam Assasin) with per-user spam filtering. 8) Installation based on OpenLDAP
