Hi All,
we have qmail-ldap working fine,
currently we are using webmai(sqwebmail)
inside office network (intranet).
Now we want to open up the webmail
access from out side office network,
through one our DMZ server, we have
tried reverse proxy, but some issues
with the frames/links, so can't use
that, I believe people must be have
this kind of setup running.
so pls suggest, how to do that, or
any other webmail software can be used.
thanks in advance,

Bala,
Instead of a reverse proxy, just run xinetd,
create a /etc/xinetd.d/https, and put:
service https
{
disable = no
bind = (external ip addr for your
dmz server)
port = 443
socket_type = stream
protocol = tcp
wait = no
user = nobody
redirect = (intranet ip addr for your
webmail server) 443
}
You can use port 80 instead of 443 on both port and
redirect clauses, and do not use https. In that
case,
name the file http instead of https, and do the same
to the "service" clause.
That will make a webrelay of your dmz server. Ah, do
not forget to enable xinetd on startup and start it
manually the first time.
