Hi All ( Claudio and Tomas specifically),
I have been trying to sort out the problem with my qmail-ldap (please refer to thread *qmail local delivery failure*). One thing I noticed there that when I changed rc script to set one more environment variable LOGLEVEL=127 before it starts qmail it did not work. The after all futile efforts to make it work I reinstalled qmail leaving all created users, backing up control files. It worked. Neither did I change ldap entries, nor control files. Just copied all the control files blankly to newly installed qmail-ldap.
All this except one change. I changed value in ldapdefaultdotmode from "both" to "ldaponly"
Don't know if that was the reason why my old setup not working.
Does anyone have any idea if qmail-ldap first consults .qmail files if control/ldapdefaultdotmode is set to both? It took my 4-days to resolve this issue.
So I feel that we must start adding our pieces of knowledge in this thread. So that some of the typical problems may be avoided.
Also I am thinking of creating a nice documentation for qmail-ldap. All the help is appreciated.
