What happens if you take domain.com out of control/locals?  domain.com
should be listed in control/rcpthosts but I believe control/locals
should be empty, forcing doc to just look at the mailHost attribute in
LDAP to figure out where to send the mail.  Of course I could be totally
wrong here since I've not touched qmail-ldap at all... yet. :)
