It tries to solve an issue that is not solvable. Spoofing of email
addresses is one key feature of the SMTP protocol. Forwarding does this,
secondary MX need this and people traveling around suffer if they can't
"spoof" their on address.
This results in a situation where many ISPs need to add SPF rules that
are so generic that you could drop them directly.

So in the and you add a complex level to your SMTP server that gains you
nothing.
