Hi:

I have a very strange problem. The queue in my server is growing in
"messages in queue but not yet preprocessed" . When this happen it stop
delivering local mail and the load in my server increses from 0.5 to
more than 50.

I have two qmail-servers one is the MX (jus receivieng SMTP, checkin
virus, spam) and sends all the mail to a second qmail with the web
sever, ldap, imap, pop3 services. The problem is in the second server.

I have almost 4000 accounts in the server.

I see sometimes 150 simultaneous conecctions to the mail web interfase.
I use squirrel.

I use the qmail-todo and  big-todo.

There are at least 3 global mails every day using the qmail-group to
every user in the server. And is a very busy server from external mail.

The workaround to this problem is stop the first server and then the
queue star delivering local mail in the second server and make the
"messages in queue but not yet preprocessed" go to 0.

The server is a Intel Xeon with 2 processors, 2 GB ram, SCSI array. I
have 200 GB of mail in the user accounts.

This is an example:

messages in queue: 1131
messages in queue but not yet preprocessed: 965

after 10 minutes the first server is stopped:

messages in queue: 663
messages in queue but not yet preprocessed: 499

I have this values:
concurrencylocal = 150
concurrencyremote = 490
I have checked with someting like 10, 100 and varios test with more
numbers and its the same.

I put a third server to manage the delivery to external servers to
distribute load form the server, but i have the same problem.

What else could i check?

Thank you.
