Well, this isn't really a qmail-ldap issue. It is just an LDAP issue. And you might keep running into such problems later even if this one is solved. For more info on LDAP, read through the OpenLDAP admin guide at http://www.openldap.org/doc/admin23/ . I know it's not a quick-fix solution and will require *some* reading, but there's no way around it!
