I run qmail-ldap on OpenBSD sparc64 and i386. The only issue I had was
with OpenLDAP. I still use the ldbm backend and because of that I use the
2.3 version of OpenLDAP server.

Currently I have these packeges installed:
openldap-client-2.4.26 Open source LDAP software (client)
openldap-server-2.3.43p9 Open source LDAP software (server)

Did not happen for me in a while but I had massive issues with my try to
get bdb backend working and gave up. That was years ago and maybe it is
fixed now.
