Hi guys, I'm using the most recent versions of qmail, qmail-scanner & spamd and my platform is Redhat Linux 7.2
I am also using Trend Interscan antivirus software version 3.1. When I run qmail-scanner without Iscan it works fine. However when I tried to implement the 3rd party virus scanner support this is what happened: When I try to compile the qmail-scanner perl file I get the following in the last step when compiling the database (with the -g option): failed to call /etc/iscan/vscan -v - Permission denied at /var/qmail/bin/qmail-scanner-queue.pl line 1016. And if I try to run the tests it fails with the following: X-Qmail-Scanner-1.15:[cornelius.ozdigital.com.au103759719742427543] corrupt or unknown Trend scanner/resource problems - exit status 16777215 qmail-inject: fatal: qq temporary problem (#4.3.0) Bad error. qmail-inject died One other strange thing I have noticed, if I run ./configure and use the --scanners option and specify "vscan" that's what it detects it as. However if I run ./configure without any options it detects my 3rd party virus scanning program as "iscan_scanner". However then if I run ./configure and specify "iscan_scanner" with the --scanners option it won't pick it up at all. Anyway i've been over the last 5 months of the mailing list archives (wish there was a search function!) and I can't find anything about it. I have tried messing around with the permissions & groups on both the qmail scanner perl file and the iscan binary. No luck Please advise what I should do as the qmail-scanner homepage does list Trend Interscan as being supported, maybe someone has some ideas?
