Huh? You had a working 1.16, and then 1.20rc4 refused to install because it
couldn't find suidperl? How was 1.16 working then?

Can you confirm that?

If *any* Q-S file is owned by root, then it means you have a perl suid
problem. Which brings us back to my first comments again.

Check your perl install again.
