Hello, I have installed and tested SpamAssassin, Clam AV and qmail-scanner.
i cannot recieve email from external sources - but i can recieve email from my internal network. the headers are as follows:
Subject: hello me
X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.61 (1.212.2.1-2003-12-09-exp) on
server3.justken.net
X-Spam-Status: No, hits=2.7 required=5.0 tests=SUB_HELLO autolearn=no
version=2.61

the final test fails ./test_installation.sh -doit with:
X-Qmail-Scanner-1.20:[fqdnXXXXX] clamuko: corrupt or unknow clamd scanner error or memory/resource/perms problem - exit status 2
qmail-inject: fatal: qq temporary problem (#4.3.0)
Bad error. qmail-inject died
in my qmail-queue.log file i have several lines of output then at the end:

I have increased my softlimit to 10,000,000
i'm running freebsd 5.1 i have installed clamav from the ports/security/clamav 0.65_3 i have installed qmail-scanner 1.20 and 1.20r4 - getting identical results. i have tried installing clamav manually
removing clamav and re-configuring qmail-scanner does not get me back a working system, althought i can relay through my smtp server without the qq error.
i've had about a 100 various problems but none seem to clear up the trouble, including trying to remove the clamav totaly from the system and only running spamassassin.
final wonder - typing clamd at the promt:
tons of stuff scrolls then i get a:
server3 clamd[971]: Socket file /var/run/clamav/clamd could not be bound: Permission denied.
however, there is no /var/run/clamav/clamd file!!
the closes i have is a /var/log/clamd
or a /usr/local/clamav/supervise/clamd
I've looked through both archives for qmail-scanner and clamav and i really don't need the antivirus that bad, i'd be very happy with just SpamAssassin.
I've seen some tutorials that patch clamd throught daemontools, but according to the official website, that's not supported. i'm using the smtp rules indicated in the FAQ.
any help getting my system working would be very much appreciated...
