Hello--

First of all, thanks for replying, I appreciate your help.

Setting QMAILQUEUE manually in the terminal seems to do something :

qmail-scanner is probably running because it's trapping all my test messages for disallowed breakage in the header name !

I've read the faq item about this and the posts in the archives.
I'm pretty surprised about this because my test message just went through some pretty solid servers.

How can I tell in the qmail-scanner log in which header the breakage was found. I would like to see if the bad characters are being inserted on my outgoing server, on my isp, or once the message is back on my system and going through getmail and qmail-inject. Where can I track this ?

Also, is it normal that the notifications are : problem found in received message "" (with nothing between the quotes) ?

Where would be the best place for setting QMAILQUEUE before running getmail ?

Why doesn't my tcp.smtp do it ?

Also, look at this :

Date: 1 Jan 2004 15:26:33 -0000
Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
From: Qmail-Scanner Test <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
To: Root Account <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Subject: Qmail-Scanner test (1/4): inoffensive message
X-Qmail-Scanner-Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Message 1/4

This is a test message. It should arrive unaffected.

*** Qmail-Scanner Quarantine Envelope Details Begin ***
X-Qmail-Scanner-Mail-From: "" via yoruban.dyndns.org
X-Qmail-Scanner-Rcpt-To: "[EMAIL PROTECTED]"
X-Qmail-Scanner: 1.20 (clamuko: 0.65. spamassassin: 2.60. problem Found. Processed in 0.011191 secs)
Quarantine-Description: Disallowed breakage found in header name - potential virus
*** Qmail-Scanner Envelope Details End ***

shouldn't this message really arrive unaffected ? doesn't this point to qmail-inject malfunctioning ?

thanks for your help
