No. As far as qmail-getpw is concerned, a user with UID 0 does not
exist. Hence the alias user is used instead. Quick demo:
; /var/qmail/bin/qmail-getpw root | tr '\000' :; echo
alias:151:151:/var/qmail/alias:-:root:
(The original problem in this thread is resolved, but I just wanted to
clear up this point.)
