POP3 Error

POP EOF received

The above is an error i keep getting on occasion.. does anyone know what it
is and how to fix it?  I can't receive my mail as a result of this.
However, if i telnet into my account and run pine, then exit, everything
appears to fix itself.. HELP?!?!
