Hello,

I've been using qmail happily to send and receive mail.
For this I've got the following two entries in my virtualdomains
file (set up according to docs on qmail.org):

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:alias-isp
:alias-ppp

And in ~alias I've got .qmail-isp-scode and .qmail-isp-default
containing "&scode@scodebox". scodebox is my box, and
"scodebox" appears in the "locals", "rcpthosts" and the "me" file.

Everything works. Great. Now I want to be able to send mail to local
users on my system - that *doesn't* work. Instead, it gets treated
as remote mail and is delivered to alias-ppp.

So, I thought that virtualdomains had a higher priority than the locals
file. Fine. So I added "norbert@scodebox:alias-norbert" to my
virtualdomains file. I also added a .qmail-norbert and .qmail-norbert-default
to ~alias, both containing "&norbert@scodebox".

But mail going to norbert@scodebox is *still* delivered to alias-ppp!

Note that I *have* placed all other entries in the virtualdomains file
*before* the ":alias-ppp" line. And I *have* restarted qmail after making
each change. I have also verified that the virtualdomains file is being
re-read. I removed the ":alias-ppp" entry and, as expected, qmail tried
to send external mail itself (failing since I'm not online) as opposed to
delivering to alias-ppp.

What am I missing? It must be something simple. althought I'm totally
mystified. I just set up qmail on a "real" server so I thought I had
gotten to know it by now...

Thanks!
