For the curious:

Nothing is listening on port 25, i'm sure. Nothing besides qmail.
When I kill all traces of qmail in the system then i can start tcpserver without
problems.
The problem was that tcpserver must be started before qmail.
Sorry for the delay in this response, but the time seems to flow like water from
