What I have working is ...

$ cat .procmailrc
PATH=/usr/bin:/usr/sbin:/bin:/sbin
UMASK=077                                       # umask
DATE=`date +%y%m`                               # date format
SHELL=/bin/sh                                   # a shell for exec
MAILDIR=$HOME/Maildir

:0
$MAILDIR/new/.


Doesn't look to be anything wrong with this -- but it does not do 
exact time stamping on files in $MAILDIR/new -- only a numeric increase
per file.

Any other ideas are welcome.
